Humans are not designed to sit, we are designed to move. In fact, medical research over the past two decades has been fairly clear about the negative affects on our bodies from sitting. That's why Kare Chairs are designed with special features to reduce the fatigue and stress sitting causes. Meeting ergonomic chair standards means that you must be able to adjust: the seat pan tilt; the lumbar height and depth; the arm rest height; and the overall height of the chair. Every part of your chair needs to be fully adjustable with molded cushions contoured to your body. The cushions must compress 1/2" to 1" and the cloth must dissipate moisture and heat. Most important, all these adjustments must be easily made while you are seated.
